(Updated) Iran-Backed Militias Challenging U.S. Troops in the Middle East

Between October 17 and December 31, 2023, more than 160 attacks have occurred in Iraq and Syria, resulting in at least 65 U.S. personnel and service members being wounded, one of which in critical condition.
